Illinois Tax Increase of 66% Approved

Illinois is currently deep into a budget crisis, so in an effort to help the state, lawmakers have passed a legislation to increase income-tax by 66%. The plan was passed early in the morning today.

Illinois has made the biggest jump in percentage when it comes to taxes, however the total is lower than other states.
