Sargent Shriver, President Kennedy’s brother-in-law has sadly passed away today at age 95. He will be remembered in U.S. politics for his role as director of the Peace Corps, ambassador to France and the time when he unsuccessfully ran for office. He announced he suffered from Alzheimer ’s disease in 2003.
It was known that Sargent Shriver was hospitalized for several days. According to the family, he passed away surrounded by his loved ones.
