Dale Earnhardt Jr. to Start in the Back at Daytona 500

Star driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. was in a crash on Wednesday during practice, causing sustained damage in the car, forcing him to go to a backup car. Now he will start Sunday’s Daytona 500 from the back, when previously he was on front.

Earnhardt was driving and then he slowed down to avoid traffic. Behind him was martin Truex, who didn’t react quickly to the maneuver and ended up hitting him from behind, with the two cars crashing into the inside wall.
