The White Stripes have officially announced that the band exists no more. Both Jack and Meg White have stated that this is the end for the band via a statement posted at the official White Stripes website. It reads:
“The White Stripes would like to announce that today, February 2nd, 2011, their band has officially ended and will make no further new recordings or perform live.”
The reason? They don’t put a single reason , but make it clear that it wasn’t related to artistic
