Mickey Rooney spoke today in front of a Senate committee, urging lawmakers to stop elder abuse – that is, chronic emotional, physical, sexual and financial abuse of elderly Americans by family members and other caregivers. CNN reports that Mickey said he had been abused by family members who took over his life and made him feel “scared, disappointed, yes, and angry.” Check out the video of his testimony:
