According to a partitioning of worldwide tablet PC sales by OS, 83% of the tabs sold in 2011 will run Apple’s iOS.
Gartner research V.P. Carolina Milanesi states tailoring a unseamed user experience on pads will be keystone for Apple’s challengers.
“Seeing the response from both consumers and enterprises to the iPad, many vendors are trying to compete by first delivering on hardware and then trying to leverage the platform ecosystem” states Milanesi in a statement.
