Sony shut a second Sony Playstation Network for its gaming clients and alleged for the first time that hackers had stolen account data on thousands of payment cards.
The company disabled the Sony Online Entertainment system, which provide players of its EverQuest and other games played from PC.
It pronounced that at about the same time that one or more hackers burst into the larger Sony PlayStation Network for console gamers, there was a similar attack at the PC service.
