Edfors takes early lead at U.S. Open | US Open

Johan Edfords started with a birdie, granted that back at the third, but birdies at four, five and eight ensured him go clean of the 156-strong field.
A poor attempt to the par-five ninth left him on a tricky six-footer for par, which he broke to sink to drop to two-under.
The top three players in the world, meanwhile, playing together, made firm adequate beginnings as constant rain greeted the early groupings and heavier showers were estimate for later in the day.
