Naoto Kan, Japan Prime Minister, survives challenge

Japan Prime Minister Naoto Kan has lasted from a no-confidence movement brought by MPs vital of his dealing of the earthquake and tsunami catastrophe.
Prior to the motion was argued, Mr Naoto Kan assured his political party he would quit once the crises were under control.
He was attempting to avoid a revolt by senior members of his political party which may have drew him from power.
March’s calamity killed thousands of populate and halting the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
