12 people were wiped out in vast blasts which shook the main Greek Cypriot naval base at Zygi south of the Mediterranean island early on Monday, reported State TV.
Public radio said at least 30 people were also wounded in the bursts which it supposed struck among weapons seized from an Iranian shipment aboard a Cypriot-flagged vessel in 2009.
