2011 dairy prices and 2012 production trimmed

The World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates from USDA on Monday project a continuing increase in milk production this year as the dairy herd has been expanding in response to $21 milk. However, production is trimmed in 2012 as higher feed prices set in while milk prices go down. Total milk production for 2011 is projected at 195.7 billion pounds, 100 million more than predicted last month. 2012 production is estimated at 198.5 billion pounds, 300 million less than predicted last
