Apple has pulled back an iPhone app that lets users to check whether a figure is Jewish. But it’s only pulled it in France, and it’s only due to legal concerns.
The act came after protests by few groups, such as Jewish congressmen and anti-racism campaigners. The detachment of “Juif ou pas Juif” is due to a French law that bounds digests of personal data without the accept of the individuals referred. For that understanding the app stays available in other countries.
