Bonds issue in local governments in China

SHANGHAI – China’s local governments will be allowed to issue straight bonds. The move will make local government more transparent about their debt. While officials at the central worry of debt pile will cause trouble later on.
Edition of the Financial Times on Thursday (08/09/2011) writes that several provinces including Zhejiang, Shandong and Guangdong are preparing the issuance of municipal bonds and will sell it directly.
