China recorded the highest import rates last August that showed the high domestic demand amid a weakening world economy.
Of government data released late last week, imports increased 30.2% to U.S. $ 155 billion or about Rp1.300 trillion a year earlier.
Meanwhile, exports also increased to 24.5% resulting in a trade surplus of U.S. $ 17.8 billion, or about Rp153 trillion.
But the trade surplus decreased compared to the previous month which reached U.S. $ 31.5 billion.
