Legislation described as a new dairy risk management tool was introduce in the U.S. House Friday afternoon. House Agriculture Committee Ranking Member Collin Peterson (D-Minn.), along with Mike Simpson (D-Idaho) introduced the Dairy Security Act of 2011. Congressman Peterson says the legislation replaces outdated dairy programs by addressing rising input costs and a growing export market.
