The monthly Livestock, Dairy and Poultry Outlook from USDA on Friday shows drought conditions in the southern U.S. still impacting the cattle market. Southern cows are going to slaughter, Southern calves are going into feedlots, hay and corn prices are going up while cattle prices are going down. Beef exports are up as a result of more cattle going to market and a favorable dollar. In the meantime, beef imports are being hampered by the exchange rate. One exception, cattle imports from Mexico
