Google apologizes for this week’s Docs outage | Google Docs

Google on Friday faulted a recent Google Docs outage on a real-time coaction update that disclosed a bug in its system.
Google Docs was unaccessible for almost an hour on Wednesday afternoon, meaning users couldn’t view or edit document lists, documents, drawings, or Apps Scripts.
“So what happened? The outage was caused by a change designed to improve real time collaboration within the document list,” Alan Warren, a Google engineering director, published in a blog post.
