Some speculation as to just how much damage was done by frost in the upper Midwest on Thursday morning. It looks like it was cold enough to end the growing season from the eastern Dakotas through northern Iowa, Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Mason City, Iowa had 27, Worthington and Marshall, Minnesota had 28, Bismarck and Jamestown, North Dakota and Eau Claire, Wisconsin all recorded 29 degrees.
The next question, did it do much crop damage given the advanced maturity of crops in the area?
