A mixed close to a pretty busy week on the dairy markets. Cash cheese barrels up .75 cents on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange on Friday to close at $1.7075 while blocks gained a quarter-cent to $1.7275. Cash butter continued to slide losing another 1.5 cents to close at $1.77 per pound. September and October Class III futures increased in response to the cash cheese market while the remainder of 2011 and all 2012 contracts were lower.
