In its latest weekly crop and weather report the Ohio field office of the National Ag Statistics Service says that as of Sunday, Sept. 18, 96 percent of the state’s corn crop was in the dough stage, 66 percent was dented, but only 13 percent of the crop is mature, well behind the5-year average of 36 percent.
The condition of the corn crop was unchanged at 74 percent fair to good.
