In the 10 years since the 9/11 attacks, the number of mainstream movies about the tragedy wouldn’t fill the marquee at a multiplex.
Not that the event has been ignored as the many documentaries attest, including the incendiary “Fahrenheit 9/11.” But Hollywood films are a different matter, begging the question: “Why have the studios stayed away?”
The tepid box office results for arguably the best 9/11 movie, “United 93,” certainly didn’t help. This
