Producers get a solid return on their checkoff investments in the U.S. Meat Export Federation’s export market development programs. That’s according to a recent study by Cornell Economics Professor Harry Kaiser, commissioned by the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) and funded by the USDA.
Producer and USDA marketing expenditures increased U.S. red meat exports, said Jim Herlihy, who is the USMEF vice-president of communications.
