I’ve been reading Hollywood Worldviews: Watching Movies with Wisdom and Discernment (2002 version which is what I have but here’s 2009 updated version) and in that book Brian Godawa has a lot of interesting things to say about how movies tell their stories. He mentioned something about The Green Mile, which I had watched years ago, and I couldn’t remember it at all. So, I pulled it from my bookstore’s shelves and watched it.
First of all it’s a very long movie (189 minutes!). But
