Widespread Panic

The jam-heavy, Southern-rock sextet ripped through a 25-song, 3½-hour performance Wednesday night at the new Peabody Opera House downtown. The band’s musical energy never waned, holding the attention of the 3,500 fans who packed the theater, even though many checked their phones frequently for updates from the Cardinals game being played down the street.
