Iranian Warships on Suez Canal

According to local officials, two Iranian warships have entered the Suez Canal, heading for the Mediterranean Sea.

The officials (who preferred to stay anonymous) at the Suez Canal detailed the two ships were a frigate and a supply vessel. The entered the waterway early on today.
“They entered the canal at 0545 (0345 GMT),” Suez Canal officials said.
According to Iran officials, the ships are heading to Syria where they will have a training mission.
