Comedian Gilbert Gottfried has been fired by Aflac, one of the top foreign insurance companies in Japan, which also does 75% of its business in that country. The reason? Gottfried made some insensitive comments and jokes on his Twitter account following Japan’s earthquake.
Gottfried, who is a spokesperson of the company as the “Aflac duck”, posted at least two jokes on Twitter (which have now been deleted):
