The iPad 2 has enjoyed some extremely strong sales and is sold out in America following its release this Friday at 5:00pm local time. It has been estimated that the figure of sold iPads is between 400,000 and 600,000.
The unavailability of iPads was confirmed by analyst Gene Munster after checking different retailers. A spokesman for Wal-Mart said:
“We expect to sell as many iPad 2s as we can receive from Apple.”
