Time to change smoke detector batteries, too
When Daylight Saving Time rolls around Sunday morning, meaning everyone rolls their clocks forward one hour, the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department reminds everyone to replace the batteries in all home smoke detectors.
Smoke alarms need to be installed on every level of a home and outside each sleeping area, high on the walls and never painted over, according to fire officials.
Test each smoke detector once a month and keep it clean by vacuuming
