Ethiopian runner Markos Geneti won today the popular LA Marathon with a total time of 2 hours, 6 minutes and 35 seconds and he broke a record!
The previous record for the marathon was held by Wesley Korir who made 2:08:24 back in 2009. This was the first marathon for the 26-year-old athlete!
Markos Geneti takes the La Marathon big prize: $25,000, a $100,000 for the gender bonus and a 2011 Honda Insight EX Sedan.
