Thirteen new medicines will be subsidised by Australian Government under the PBS

Nicola Roxon, Australian Federal Health Minister replied to a campaign by some of the biggest names in Australia’s consumer health industry by announcing that 13 new drugs will subsidized by the government.
Sixty groups including Diabetes Australia, the AIDS Council of NSW and Alzheimer’s Australia have set up a campaign asking the government stop detaining decisions on an array of drugs suggested for subsidies under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
