Weather slowing Indiana harvest

Cool, wet weather slowed harvest progress of Indiana’s major crops this past week. Currently harvest progress is running 17 days behind last year and 9 days behind the five-year average in corn and 18 days behind last year and 10 days behind the average in soybeans.
Ninety-two percent of the corn crop has reached the dent stage, 8 points behind last year. A challenging growing season has left much of the crop well behind last year’s pace as just 50 percent has reached maturity compared
