The 2011 Mathew Street Festival takes place this coming bank holiday weekend with bands from all over the world standing alongside the best Merseyside music talent.
The two-day festival on Sun 28 and Mon 29 August will see around 250,000 people take to the streets and bars in the city centre for one of the highlights of the city’s musical calendar.
2011 will be the first year there has not been a designated Beatles Stage though, as ever, there will be a strong Beatles and Merseybeat
