Allendale lowers corn, soybean outlooks

Allendale Inc.’s updated corn and soybean yield survey numbers show the impact of the wide-ranging weather seen during the growing season. The survey was conducted between August 22 and September 2. Updated USDA numbers are due out Monday, September 12.
Corn is projected at 12.466 billion bushels with an average yield of 147.7 bushels per acre, ranging from a low of 0 in Sunray, Texas to a high of 250 bushels per acre in Kingsbury, South Dakota. If realized, that would be the lowest U.S.
