Dairy cow prices nudge higher

The price of dairy cows continues to increase, NASS reports that as of the end of July, the average dairy cow price in the United States was $1,480 per head, up $60 from April and $160 higher than a year ago. Vermont has the highest price, $1,600 up $100 from April and $200 above a year ago. Wisconsin has the second-highest price, $1,570 up $10 from April and $170 above a year ago.
