GIPSA debate expected to heat up again

It’s been pretty quiet on the GIPSA front as of late, but that could change as Congress returns to work.
The Senate subcommittee for ag appropriations will be taking up the 2012 agriculture appropriations bill, which includes language prohibiting GIPSA from using funds to finalize its proposed livestock marketing rules. The bill has already passed the House.
