MILAN – The Italian government is finalizing proposals Solidarity Tax, which means higher tax collection to high-income groups. At the same time, the Italian Government to remove the plan cuts funding for local governments.
Both steps were taken to meet the European Union efforts to nourish the budget in its member countries.
This was stated by Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi told Italian daily newspaper Il Tempo in Milan, Italy, Friday (2/9/2011) as published on Reuters.
