St. Louis-based food maker Ralcorp Holdings Incorporated has rejected a bid from ConAgra Foods of Omaha, Nebraska to buy it, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.
ConAgra issued a statement last week saying it would withdraw its offer to buy Ralcorp for $94 a share (nearly $5.2 billion total) – by Monday – unless Ralcrop entered into negotiations for a sale. The Post Dispatch says Ralcorp’s board has so far refused to meet with ConAgra executives about a sale.
