NOAA—the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration—is reporting that the La Nina weather event has re-emerged in the tropical Pacific Ocean and is forecast to gradually strengthen and continue into winter.
DTN ag meteorologist Bryce Anderson says a re-emergence of La Nina would not bode well for the drought-stricken Southern Plains–and would not be good news for the Central Corn Belt, either.
