Egypt and Russia condemned Israel’s plans to build 1,600 settlements in East Jerusalem. They state, this development becomes an obstacle for peace process.
“We can not accept this. We condemn the act, the construction of settlements is illegal and violates international law. Israel is the obstacle of peace negotiations,” said Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Mohammad, told the Daily Star, Saturday (08/13/2011 ).
