Timothy Geithner remains as United States Secretary of the Treasury

United States Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner told Barack Obama he would remain in his position.
Previously, there was speculation Geithner will release his position. Geithner, until now, is the only Obama’s economic team from the beginning. The statement was contained in a written statement released by the U.S. Treasury Department as quoted by the Associated Press on Monday (08/08/2011).
At the end of June, Geithner rumoured will resign after the ballooning of U.S. debt limit.
