Dutch Thawed Libyan Funds | Libya

AMSTERDAM – The Dutch government on Monday (08/15/2011), approved the use of 100 million euros (141 million U.S. dollars) of funds frozen of the Government’s Moammar Khadafy by World Health Organization (WHO) for purchase of medicines for the people of Libya.
WHO said the lack of medicines and medical supplies have been put at risk the lives of ordinary Libyans during the conflict and called for withdrawal of funds that are blocked to help supply the drugs.
