SanDisk acquires Flash Disk manufacturer Pliant Technology

Flash memory storage company SanDisk has bought Pliant Technology, a designer and developer of Enterprise Flash Drives (EFDs), the company heralded this morning.
Under the terms of the agreement, SanDisk will give around $327 million in cash and supply sealed equity-based incentives.
Pliant Technology produces SSDs that connected into enterprise information systems. The firm has around 80 employees and is established in Milpitas, California.
