US Senate Extend Patriot Act Law

The US Senate extend controversial counter-terrorism search and surveillance powers at the heart of the Patriot Act adopted after the September 11, 2001 attacks until 2015.
Legislature acquired the measure 72-23 just hours before it expires at midnight, placing the bill to the US House. Voting in the House wasn’t anticipated until 8:00 pm, according to a congressional adjutant.
