Apple’s App Store awarded by The Guinness world record for being the most popular apps market in the world.
A firm 10 billion apps were downloaded since it set up back in July 2008. As of September 2010 the store hosted more or less 260,000 apps.
The App Store also acquired an award for being the biggest virtual video game store with catalogue of most titles. Beating Android, Xbox Live Indie Arcade, Steam and the Wii Virtual Console.
